Ok, we are thinking about Spring Break. Our plan was to go to our nation's capitol until a quick internet search revealed that our Spring Break is also the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC. While it would be beautiful, I am thinking it would be CROWDED and my clan is completely crowd-o-phobic. Next choice....St. Louis MO. The arch, the zoo, taking a ride down the Mississippi river on a paddle boat ala Tom Sawyer....sounds great to me! Then comes in San Francisco...Jamie and I spent 4 days there last August and it was wonderful! My thought on that is that we should wait until the unbearable heat hits here this summer, then go to San Francisco. Last year when we went it was 110 here with a heat index of 119. It never got over 60 the whole time we were in san Francisco. Ah.....heavenly..... and lastly, St. Augustine and Jacksonville. The zoo is so nice, and the beaches at Anastasia Island are so pretty. Plus...scrapbook shopping galore! So what do you think? Where should we go? Got any other ideas? Let me know!

St Louis! We went there in 2004. They have a large park area with a zoo, planetarium, history museum, botanical gardens and several other items. We stayed downtown and could see the arch from our hotel room. We went to the top of the arch - though I don't know if I could do that again. We went on a boat ride - not that great -similar to what you can get on River Street. We are going to Salt Lake City for our spring break.
St Augustine! I love the old town and scrapbook shopping thats GREAT too!!You have to eat at the Colombia Restaurant in the spaniah quarter it's sooooo good and I hear there is a big scrapbook store in jacksonville?!!
Take care..
Cecile:))
DC all the way. So much to see. Lots and lots of Museums. And it's the place were our great country is run.Now I am a history buff, so that's the main reason. But I fell every one should go to DC once in there lives. The air and space museum at Dulles airport rocks. Check it out. And if you're lucky you may just see W.
I would avoid anywhere in Florida due to the colleges on spring break. My choice would be Washington DC, but I am with you on the crowds. I would prefer to avoid them, so I would say take her to St Louis. But, if you can't decide, just come on down to Louisiana, we would welcome you with open arms. But, whatever you do, have fun. Life is too short for anything else.
I say TENNEESEE With ME!!!!
