HEEEEEEELP!

Seems that when we downloaded the camera to go on out trip to the mountains, something happened during the transfer and we did not notice it until last night. I tried to print the pictures, but they are all "broken files". I have no backup as they have been deleted from my camera. Any advice? Or are my pics from the Medieval Festival just gone forever??????
